DIY Face mask Tutorial for Bright & Beautiful Skin
Face Mask Tutorial to Attain Glowing Bright & beautiful Skin at home: The Easy Way
Today I’ll share my ultimate go-to home made DIY face mask
for glowing skin. This scrub is armed with citrus agents that’ll repair the tan
acquired post sun exposure & also help fade scars along with a natural
scrub to slough off the dead cells. We’ll discuss how to make it step by step
along with pictures. But please be assured that these ingredients aren’t coming
from GOD, so they are highly customizable & you can substitute them as you
please.
This face pack contains clay & citrus agents, because it’s
targeted towards oily & combination skin. So it may dry up other skin types
so please substitute the acidic ingredients with lighter ones if you have
normal-dry skin & I must let you knoe: this pack is not suitable for
sensitive skin types, for them I’ll add another mask recipe later. Here we go:
First, take 2-3 tsp of yogurt in a bowl.
Now you may add the Multani mitti of equal amount. Multani
mitti is easily available in Indian markets & is excellent as a oil
annihilating clay. It also deep cleanses & removes tan thus lightens skin
tone.
Now , you can add the essential oils according to your
choice, Here, I’ve added four of my favourite essential oils: Benzoin Oil
(excellent anti-wrinkle/ anti agein ingredient), Sea Buckthorn Oil
(moisturisation and for glowing skin), Tamanu oil (A multitasker, fights acne, moisturizes,
heals minor injuries, helps irritation/inflammation, removes scar/tan, thus
whitens skin & many more), Tuberose oil (besides it’s excellent aroma, it
is an anti bacterial, anti viral, moisturizing & promotes good blood
circulation). You can add your favourite oils, I just randomly pick essential
oils when I make a face mask.
Now, add milk powder (2-3
tsp) almost equal amount of flour to multani mitti (flour: multani/fuller’s
earth = 1:1). Flour is a multi tasker here. It’ll not only whiten skin (did you
know flour has although very small amount of arbutin, which is an active
ingredient as a derivative of Hydroquinone & is found in most over the
counter prescription ointments for scar removal. Milk powder is a natural
moisturizer & also popular for its skin lightening properties.
Now, you need to add turmeric. So, if you have raw turmeric
(which I prefer), you should make a paste of it & if you don’t, you can
also use turmeric powder from your kitchen. Turmeric is an excellent antiseptic
& anti bacterial & it also lightens scars. I made raw turmeric paste.
Now crush some coconut & make a paste, but as I’m aware
it is never a fine paste. Coconut remains somewhat gritty, so it’s good thing
in the long run because gritty coconut will make an excellent scrub & the
natural oil in it will moisturize your skin. But please be aware that due to
its high oil content, it’ll be somewhat hard to remove.
Now add Mulethi/liquorice/Yashtimadhu powder in your face
pack. Mulethi is the no.1 ayurvedic ingredient that has been used to lighten
skin tone & remove tan from so long. It’s also found in popular skin
lightening/scar removing creams today.
You can now add the liquids to make a paste. I have used
coconut water (for its amazing tan/scar removing action) & rose water
(lightens skin tone & also used as a toner) & Vinegar 1-2 tsp (removes
tan/ scar & brightens skin tone, encourages blood circulation, good for
acne-prone skin).
See, this is not a sponsored post, so please don’t think I’m
trying to promote any specific brand as you see in the pictures. Those are
bought randomly & you can buy whatever you want or think is best. But its
just a DIY face mask tutorial with detailed instructions. The final pack should
look like thisÃ
Now apply this mask, for 3 days in week (targeting those
days when you’re out in the sun) & keep it for 20 minutes or until it’s dry
& wash off. Follow up with a moisturizer & don’t forget to practice sun
protection from the next day onwards because this pack uses acidic ingredients
which makes your skin sensitive to sun. So apply it in the evening & I
guarantee you’ll see the results right from the day 1.
